Flower Essence Therapy

Flower Essence Therapy is used to help correct disharmonies that most often occur at the emotional or spiritual levels.  This therapy uses flower essence remedies to address problems like anger, lack of confidence, fear, grief, impatience, procrastination and many other issues that we all face at one time or another.  The aim of flower essence therapy is to promote healing by cultivating greater awareness and by helping to address disharmonies on all levels.

Dr. Edward Bach, a famous English physician developed the original flower remedies called Bach Flower Remedies when he was working as a homeopathic practitioner.  Believing that diseases of the body come about as a result of imbalances at the level of the soul, he developed thirty eight Bach Flower Remedies that he felt would correct all imbalances that were possible. Bach devoted the last years of his life in the 1930’s to researching and developing his remedies.

Bach’s original 38 essences are still in use today. In addition, hundreds of other flowers and their essences have been researched and made available for use. The most well known among the newer flower essences include those made available by the Flower Essence Society (FES).

Flower essence therapy treats imbalances of an emotional nature or physical disharmonies with emotional or spiritual involvement.

Flower Essence Therapy can be used as a stand alone therapy or as an adjunct to acupuncture or massage.  After discussing those things that are concerns for you, a custom formula would be created based on your needs. This formula would be used during your session (in the case of acupuncture or massage) and at home. Often monthly follow up appointments are recommended.
